2019 Christmass Message

We consider this time of the year as the most important one because we celebrate the birth of Christ. It is also the time of the year when we all gather together and say our thanks for all the blessings we received. 2019 is about to end to give way to another year of many great changes and opportunities.

This year have been practically a busy one as we engage ourselves in various endeavors and at the same time trying to cope with the increasing number of caseloads on drug cases as a result of the implementation of the “plea bargaining” allowed by the Supreme Court. It is also known to all of us that taking the initiatives to established various information systems on probation, case management and human resource is a huge challenge that needed a concerted effort, logistics and technical know-how. We believe that adopting these systems will result to a more efficient delivery of our service.

The next year to come will be another challenging time for the Agency as we would be, hopefully, in full blast of the projects we had initiated in the past years. It will be also the year I will be bowing out of the public service as I reached my mandatory retirement. But I am confident that the programs and innovations I will left unfinished will be continued by the next Administrator.

On a personal note, allow me to express my sincere gratitude to all of you. It’s been almost a decade since I was designated and later appointed as head of this Administration. I must say that being your Administrator is an enormous responsibility and a challenging job as well. I mustered a lot of courage and prepared myself to take on a big step of leading an agency that is tasked to make a difference in the lives of the people who were considered menace of the society because of the crime committed. At this point, I want to recognize the hard work and cooperation of each and every one of you. Your unwavering support in my leadership is a constant source of inspiration and serves as a driving force for me to do better. I always believe that by working together and only together do we succeed.

To my fellow workers in the Parole and Probation Administration, it was a pleasure working with you all. My stint as your Administrator gave me a lot of knowledge, experiences, lessons in life and most of all, an opportunity to help those people who were given second chance to change.

Maraming Salamat Po. Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon!
