2017 TCLP and PRAISE Awards Winners

In the culminating program of the 42nd Anniversary celebration of the promulgation of Presidential Decree 968 and the 24th Probation and Parole Week, Parole and Probation Administration conferred awards to the PRAISE winners and Outstanding Therapeutic Community Ladderized Program (TCLP) Implementers. Held on July 24, 2018, at the DOJ-PPA Multi-Purpose Hall in Central Office, the affair was graced by Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra as keynote speaker with the heads of the Board of Pardons and Parole, Public Attorney’s Office, Land Registration Authority, and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways in attendance.

The winners in the national search for 2017 Outstanding TCLP Implementers mostly came from Mindanao. The following are the winners in the different categories:

In the 2017 National PRAISE Awards, winners mainly came from Luzon. Cagayan PPO No. 1 bagged the Gawad Sagip Kalikasan Award while Santiago City PPO got the Outstanding Implementer of Rehabilitation Program Award. Negros Oriental PPO, on the other hand, won the Outstanding Livelihood Project category. The Financial Management Division (FMD) was conferred the Outstanding Division Award and was given a special award for winning the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines’ (AGAP) Most Outstanding Accounting Office Award in 2014 and 2016. Personnel with excellent performance such as Ms. Frances Tomelden, Ms. Mirasol Felaire and Mrs. Ma. Cristina Vibar were adjudged first, second and third Outstanding Employee respectively. Finally, the first, second and third Outstanding Region Award went to Region 2, Region 3 and Region 7, respectively.

Secretary Guevarra together with Administrator Manuel G. Co and Deputy Administrator Lorna A. Yumul gave the Plaque of Recognition and cash prizes to the winners.

Administrator Co concluded the program with his inspirational closing remarks.
