ADMINISTRATOR CO SPEAKS IN CSI LEADERSHIP SERIES
To share his success stories, experiences and best practices in the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA), Administrator Manuel G. Co talked during the Leadership Series Program event conducted by the Civil Service Institute (CSI) on June 19, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
The program, which is conducted quarterly by the Civil Service Commission through the CSI, is designed to inspire government executives, managers and division chiefs to think about successful leadership. It also promotes the ideals and best practices from stories of successful leaders who made an impact in their respective organization or the people they serve.
In his presentation, Administrator Co highlighted the three-pronged approach in the rehabilitation of offenders of the Agency namely, Therapeutic Community Ladderized Program (TCLP), Restorative Justice (RJ) and Volunteer Resource Management. He emphasized the salient characteristics of each approach and the values it imparts to the agency clients.
He likewise mentioned and discuss the different motivating programs being implemented by the PPA to enhance work satisfaction and preserve good working relationships among officials and staff. These include Kapihan-Kumustahan system, team building, spiritual oriented activities and reward/recognition system to deserving personnel and volunteers.
The best practices and experiences shared by Administrator Co on the said event stemmed from the conduct of the Public Service Values Program (PSVP) in the PPA by the CSC. Through the CSI Leadership Series Program, the Commission will be able to know the impact made by the said program to the different government agencies it was implemented.
