Ashinaga Foundation Strengthen ties with PPA

Ashinaga Foundation representatives, Mr. Hiroshi Izuka and Ms. Quian Yi Quek visited the OIC Administrator of the Parole and Probation Administration, Atty. Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr. on June 8, 2023, at the Teodulo Natividad Hall in Quezon City. They were accompanied by Community Services Division Chief, CPPO Danilo M. Capili who facilitated the official visit.

At the start of the meeting, Mr. Hiroshi shared the advocacy of the Ashinaga Foundation of supporting students who don’t have access to quality education by sending them as scholars to partner countries such as the Philippines. Their students are either in one-parent households or orphans. Aside from financial aid, Ashinaga also provides the students with emotional support through their Rainbow House and Summer Camp “Tsudoi”.

The meeting progressed with sharing of deep cultural and economic ties of the Philippines and Japan.

Both the PPA and Ashinaga Foundation are looking forward to strengthening current relations by renewing the Memorandum of Agreement on CY 2024.

The meeting ended with the formal exchange of business cards and the handling of Token of Appreciation of Mr. Hiroshi to Atty. Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr.
