To equip future managers of the Agency with the rightful skills and competencies of a coach, a seminar on Coaching for Leaders was conducted for Supervising Probation and Parole Officers (SPPOs) on April 22, 2019 at the DOJ-PPA Multi-Purpose Hall in Quezon City.

The one-day seminar which was attended by 27 SPPOs from regions I, II, V, VI, IX, XI, XIII and National Capital Region aimed to develop and cultivate the skills and knowledge of the future managers of the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) which they needed for their coaching function. It is expected that supervisors possessed the competencies and capability to coach the people or staff they are handling.

The modules of the seminar focused on processes of coaching, core skills for successful coaching, qualities of a good coach, benefits of coaching and introduction to coaching. The seminar utilized learning methodologies such as lectures, role plays and workshop.

Speaker during the seminar was Mr. Armando Sibal, a CSC-accredited Supervisory Development Course and Values Orientation Workshop Resource Person and currently a freelance Human Resource/Management Development Consultant.
