The Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) successfully hosted the 2^nd meeting of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and justice sector agencies on March 6, 2025, at Teodulo Natividad Hall in Central Office.

DOJ Undersecretary Deo L. Marco and Assistant Secretary Eliseo DC. Cruz led the meeting with UNODC’s Dr. Raymund E. Narag and Dr. Nick Tobia.

Administrator Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr. and CPPO Danilo M. Capili, who represented PPA, joined the senior officials from PNP, BuCor, BJMP, and the Office of Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs at this high-level meeting.

The three-hour meeting was highly productive, with officials identifying short-term actions and interventions to ensure the timely release of persons deprived of liberty (PDL). These steps effectively streamline the release process, contributing directly to the jail decongestion efforts of the government.
