After the conduct of external audit by the TUV Nord Philippines on November 16, 2020, the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) is once again recommended for the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 certification based on the following result: six (6) good practices, six (6) potentials for improvement, five (5) comments and no minor/major non-compliance.
Conducted by five-man team from TUV Nord Philippines, the audit was done through online or virtual in Region VII Regional Office, Cebu City PPO I, and Lapu Lapu City PPO, while face-to-face audit was conducted in the Central Office and the National Capital Region Regional Office.
Coverage of the audit were the Quality Management Systems (QMS) of the PPA and its management, core and its support processes such as human resource, training and development, recruitment and selection, procurement, outsourced service management, financial management, records and information management, investigation, supervision and rehabilitation, case management, communications management and administration of administrative cases/ rules of courts.
In 2021, expansion of the ISO certification of PPA-QMS will be implemented covering the remaining regional offices and their pilot field offices. To date, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) assessed the agency’s QMS to determine the readiness of the additional offices in the expansion of the ISO certification.
